Certainly not a tourist guide such as Satyajit Mondal from Havelock Island in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago. Satyajit and his wife Sangita do the best they can for their 12-year-old son Sumith. \n\nAs an infant, Sumith would perpetually hold his hands clenched into fists. He couldn’t crawl, and when he was unable to sit up at age one, the couple sought a medical check-up. Medicines for CP and daily physiotherapy did not improve his condition much, so he was taken to the Mata Amritanandamayi Math in Kerala. Satyajit’s father sold land to pay for their travel.\n\nSangita became pregnant and could not help exerting herself, against her doctor’s advice, because she had to carry Sumith daily and help him with his exercises. She had a miscarriage. Six months later she was pregnant again, and took complete bed rest. Sumith’s physiotherapy came to a halt. Shiva is four now, and Sangita restarted Sumith’s regimen three months ago. She says they could not have survived without the unfailing support of Satyajit’s parents and two brothers who all live nearby.\n\nSumith is able to lift light objects with his left hand. He loves to play with Shiva, propels a tricycle with his elbows, uses the phone, and types on his digital tablet by gripping the stylus with his mouth. He has a self-imposed daily routine of times he rigidly sticks to, whether it is for waking up, eating lunch, or watching TV.\n\nSatyajit says, “Every day Sumith expects me to bring something home for him.
